Hi, I'm looking for advice or recommendations for a new prop to improve overall performance.

-Stock 3 blade Volvo 19 Aluminum
-WOT RPM ~4900/4950 @ ~46MPH
-VP 5.0GXI-E/SX-M1.6, 2005, 270HP
-FourWinns Horizion 210, 2005, 22', 3900lbs

I'm generally happy with the performance now but wondering if I can get a little more. My stock prop is getting a little beat and I'd like to have a spare on board so I'm shopping for a new prop. Should I stay with 3 or go to 4? SS or AL?

Thanks in advance-

if your ratio is 1.60 then I would say you slip is high and if you put on the same pitch 3 blade prop in SS it would help you gain some speed. Just my .02

Is 3900 lbs dry weight? Your slip is about 17% on the high side but 3900 is a bit of a load.
It depends on what "more" you are looking for.
You could try a turning point Hiustler in the same pitch. about 1/3 the cost of a ss prop.
and said to deliver close to ss performance. You might squeeze a little more speed out of it.
If your looking for better low to mid range performance a 4 blade can get you better hole shot
stay on plane better at reduced throttle, seem smoother and handle better around the dock.
It will cost you some top end.It is usually suggested to drop 1" in pitch to make up for the extra blade drag.

you can drop to a 17" x 4 blade ss , should go as fast as before with more grab out of the hole and in turns. ss will not flex like the aluminum will so less prop slippage too.

Thanks for the suggestions. According to the owners manual the dry weight is "between 3820 and 3900". Seems a bit high to me. If I had to guess I would have said 3500 lbs. How does one weigh their boat? Anyway, I'm fine with the hole shot. I would like a smoother mid range i.e. stability and control around 28-32 mph for skiing. I'd hate to give up the top end but that is the least important to me. Any recommendations for 4 blade SS?

I don't know if the Merc Spitfire is available for your Volvo but I've seen two impressive independent Spitfire tests.
One in this mornings forum.
These deliver 4 blade performance and 3 blade speed.
