Prop Recommendations

Have a 1968 Mercury 500 mounted on a 66 Duo Runabout. Finally got together enough for some water trials, hard to believe there was a small tree growing out of this boat in April:

Working through several issues, but I think the hub is spun in the prop. What would be a good diameter and pitch prop for this boat? The prop that came with the engine appears to be a 10 3/4 diameter and a 12 pitch. Looking to use the boat to do some casual fishing, pull tubes for the kids and general putting around the lake... At a $100 + per prop - I don't want to have to expirement...

There is a whole section for prop questions...you would have better luck posting there.

You could have reported this post and asked a Mod to move it for you.

That would have been simpler.
