ive got a 1979 mercury 7.5 hp , i needed to change out the prop seal i used a gear puller to take the prop off, however the aluminun prop came off but the rubber inside the hub stayed put on the splined shaft. now there is no way to get it back on. as i started pulling i knew something wasnt right but curiosity got the best off me, ijust didnt realize how tight and pressed on that rubber hub was.can someone tell me what my options are?also by trying to put the prop back on i ended up destroying the rubber part of the hub.and its still stuck on the shaft i guess ill have to cut it off. can a new rubber hub be pressed back into that prop?if that can be done how much does it cost?

Yes, the prop body is OK to reuse. Go to a prop shop and he can put in a new hub.

:)
