prop size OK?

I run a 13 1/4 X 19 aluminum prop on a 16ft 1993 60HP Evinrude (3 cyl)on a Zodiac Rigid Inflateable. Although I don't have a tacho, I would think it doesn't nearly rev up to where it should: if I'd have to guess I'd say max 4000rpm. It feels like I need a smaller / lower pitch prop. Any words of wisdom / experience?<br />E.g. I also have a Suzuki 65DT (also a 3 cyl) on a 16ft deep-vee runabout with a 11 1/2 X 15 which has better hole shot and speed by far.

You need about 6000 RPM, plus a tach to tell where you are at.
