At the bottom of that link there is a section called "Propeller Help Guide" - I'd say it's worth looking over. When it comes to changing pitch, it really depends on where you are now, and what you are trying to accomplish. Basically when you go up in pitch your max RPMs (at WOT) go down and your speed up, but you loose power (the analogy is like shifting into a higher gear on your car). Going down in pitch is the opposite (so care must be taken not to create an over-RPM situation).
Another good thing to do is read the two stickies at the top of the forum:
"Read This First!!" and "How to get the best results from your question", it explains what is needed so that the experts (of which I am not) can make an educated recommendation.
