Pull start

I have an early model Johnson 4hp and when doing some maintenance the pull start came apart I have sort of got it back together but need a diagram to complete the job . Can anyone advise me where to get one ??

What year?

They made a 4 hp in the 1930s and again from 1969 onwards

Several different recoil starters were fitted over the years

Apart from the 1930s one you can view exploded diagrams in the parts lists HERE

One thats all held by a screw through the cover? You undid the screw and it all fell apart
