Pulling 1999 Sea Ray 310 V drive engines/Velvet trans

I need to pull an engine. I see the mounts to the floor are on the engine and then on the trans with bell housing holding it together. Is it common to pull one or the other and block up the component that you are not pulling? Or must you pull both engine and trans, then separate once removed?


What is most common or the best way?

depends on what needs replacing - engine / trans can be individually pulled!

Id seperate when the package is out of the boat...the velvet drive is heavy!

Yes if you need to pull the engine just pull the trans with it.
