I have a pump in pump out live well and it will not work.When I throw the toggle switch ,nothing.<br />I pushed in the breaker and no luck. Is it the pump maybe or clogged?<br />How can I test it? I can barely get to the pump through the access port so change ot will be a bear..<br />Any suggestions?<br />Thanks :confused:

If you have a test light, see if there is power going to it. If there is, I would suspect the pump is jammed or shot.<br /><br />If not, start looking upstream for a wiring problem.

If you get the pump motor working and it still dosen't pump blow out the discharge hoses. That is a popular spot for wasp nests which serves as a water tight dam.

That is what some one else suggested, how do I blow them out ? Maybe with a pressure washer after unscrewing the drain screen? if it was just blocked would I still hear the pump turning?

Agree with DJ, check hot lead at pump with tester, then back of switch, then hot into switch... if motor isn't whinning then either no power getting to it or it's dead :mad:
