Last Friday I caught up with QC while he was in Brisbane, and invited him out to the Farm for the night.
We went to watch the kids play a game of Basketball, had a dinner at home, he gave Hayden some really good hints for playing his guitar, and we then sat up till about 1am drinking whishey and talking out on the patio.
It was a really good time and we thoroughly enjoyed QC's company.
Bit of a struggle getting him on to the 7.30am train tho. Had to have Anita drive the car as I was probably over the legal limit.
Amazing really....we come from opposite ends of the world.....yet there are few differences in what we want out of life and the way we live.
Anyway a question QC.
Did you manage to get that lump of steel home, or was the excess weight just too much for the plane and you had to dump it?

No problem with the coupler, Phil. I was at 24.5 Kilos and actually had an allowance up to 32. I was a little concerned coming through customs as I did not write "Used trailer parts" or "Used GPS" on my customs form . . . Thought that might have attracted too much attention, and I wanted to get home. I rationalized it as they were already here and I was just returning them to their origin . . .

Yeah, I had a great time as well, and as you have noted realise how much we are all alike. The Friday night sports, take away food, the patio, the whisky . . . :D

I've been telling Sandy all about the Herb farm and she showed me a Parsley plant that she had put out on the patio table for one night and some critter ate it all  What can climb up on a table and likes Parsley and can devour a substantial amount in one sitting?

Good to hear you got everything thru.
Lets hope you can get a G Chart for the GPS.
I would of guessed your bag weighed more than that.

OK....what ate the Parsley?

Check to see if there are droppings. Caterpillars (usually soft droppings) will amostly leave them: mice and rats may also leave droppings(slighly harder...like grain of rice).
If you don't have these signs then you have a larger animal, capable of either flying or climbing vertically.
Check what remains of the plant as there may be evidence there.
Remedies:
Caterpillars(chewing insects)...insecticides
Rodents....baits (watch out for the dogs tho)
Larger critters.....big problem....cover the crop maybe.
Cheers
