Its my fishing partners motor so we pull it apart Sunday and sure enough its been soaked and corrosion everywhere. Just to make sure it wasnt ruined he wiped the brushes and where they contact (lightly) with 150 grit sand paper and we dropped it back in and applied power. Worked great. So at that time I told him we should stop and get some advice on proper cleaning before putting it back together.<br /><br />All new seals have been ordered and should be here in a week.<br />Im sure using sand paper isnt the answer and any advice would be welcomed. <br />Just didnt have the manual here at my place. <br />I'll take some emery cloth over to him this evening. If the seals come in this week I can see a need to test it Saturday on a little Bass lake.
