Question about a weird occurance with my 1989 Evinrude 48hp SPL

I just got this boat, motor and trailer all are 1989 model. I have put in a new water pump which was all I was told was wrong with it. It did crank up after and did pump water fine. I took the carbs off and took them apart and cleaned them and put them back on. I ran it for about 10-15 minutes the other day and after I shut it off grease was coming out from where the prop is, is that normal and what is it from? It was rather thick, does anyone know?? The guy I bought it from said he had it services proffessionally every season.

It is normal to have the excess unburned oil from the engine pass through the exhaust system and through the propeller. See: http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=207285
