I saw post that iboats boost a total of members at 103,822 how many members have at least 50 posts? I suspect it's a fraction of that 100K........

Well, at any given time there are from 200 to 600 logged on.

Just go to the membership list and do the math. I've always heard that 95% of all the fish are caught by 5% of the fishermen. I think that probably applies to posting on forums. Many people that registered did so for a singular question and having that answered do not post again.

There are many lurkers that never post. Some follow the adage of "You may be thought to be a fool but don't post to remove all doubt.":D

also if you clik on boating fourms, at the top of this page, when the screen comes up, scroll all the way to the bottom, you can see who is active at that time. usually more than half are not registered guest, browsing the forum. many find there answers without ever asking a question.

I have to agree with tash. Even before i got my latest boat i spent many hours here just looking at what others, with the same setup as mine were having problems with.
Then i got sucked in to the vortex in the chat room and here i am.
That reminds me tash you have never answered me on how hard it was to take the interior out of you Spectrum.

My hats off to you guys, all of you. Its gotta be one heck of job keeping track of that many people at one time{and this is not a diss,,,cut down as they said in my day}. Its from my heart. I have worked renaissance festivals that have around 30,000 people through the gate on a good day,,,mmm,,,lets see take that x $20 a head=???????RICH!!! They haul the gate money away in amoured cars, I've seen them and kept my distance, LOL Thats the Texas Renaissance Festival in Houston TX. So I know a little about crowds and when you throw alcohol in the mix it can turn into a real mess, real fast. Good job guys....ANIMAL

I use the search button to research questions, so my post count is relativlely low for the amount of time I have been a member.

100,000 people registered, and if that makes iboats staff happy, that is all that matters. Pointing out that less than 3% of them ever come back on a regular basis is just bad manners. ;)

Re: Question About Active Members

there have been some wierd questions ask over the years. but, our postion is there is no dumb question. some of the posters have been quite trying, in trying to get the correct information across to them.
