Question about charging batteries.

I just recently purchased a bass boat and it has the 12/24 volt trolling motor wired for 24 volts. I like to keep it that way. I don't have an inboard charger yet and I for the life of me can't remember how to hook the battery charger on the batteries. It's a standard 10/2 amp charger. Below is how the batteries are wired.

You can charge the batteries one at a time the usual way for one battery

Thats the way I charge them now, I couldn't remember if I could charge them when they are wired in 24 volt series.
The reason I'm asking is when I'm at the campground I was hoping that I could charge both batteries at once overnight with one charger and be ready for the next day. We are only allowed so many plug hookups.

You can't charge both batteries off a single charger if they are jumpered for 24V, you can only charge 1 at a time.

If you removed the series jumper and then paralleled the batteries, you could charge them off a single charger. But, that would be a real pain and invite the possibly of dis/re-connecting them wrong way, big sparks! I wouldn't do it.

Personally, I'd either charge them individually or get a 2 bank onboard charger,,,, or....

You mentioned being limited to plugs at the camp ground.... When I charge the 24V bank in my jon boat I do it with 1 extension cord. I have 2 battery chargers which are plugged into a multi-outlet extension cord.

Thanks for the help. I thought about doing that. I'll get me one of those cheap battery tenders and use that with my charger until I get an on board charger.. I just bought this bass boat and I'm getting a fish finder/gps combo this weekend and I can only afford so much at a time.
