Question about gearcase

I just received my engine (1999 Johnson 90Hp) and have a question.<br />There is a hole in the gear case and I have no idea what it is for ? Can somebody tell me what this is ? was there a screw in there or is it open ? the hole is at the tip of the screwdriver.<br />

Nope no screw goes there, its a seep hole for water to drain out after the engine is shut off.
