I have a question about new the omc vro pump . Do they allways deliver a 50:1 oil ratio at all engine speeds or do they deliver a 100: 1 ratio at idle ?

Re: question about new omc vro pumps

A VRO & VRO II deliver a variable ratio from 150:1 at or near idle to 50:1 at or near wot, hence the name Variable Ratio Oiling. The OMS pumps are basically 50:1 all the time. They do vary slightly but are basically a constant ratio, hence the name Oil Metering System.

Re: question about new omc vro pumps

All oil pumps being produced today by BRP are OMS pumps. Someone may have a new VRO or VRO II but it'd be rather rare to find one.

Even if you have an older motor and ask for a new VRO pump there's a 99.9% chance that you'll get an OMS pump. If the dealer orders it from BRP, a 100% chance it's an OMS pump.
