Hi Guys,

I've been reading up on these boats quite a bit in the last few months and would like to get one but I am torn as to which model. Here's my reason for getting; My wife and I just bought a tow behind camper and I don't like combo trailering, so the solution, buy an inflatable. Now the question.

What, in your guys' opinions are the real differences between the Fish Hunter 360 and the 280? Other than the obvious length and material thickness. Does one offer any other advantages over the other? I do plan to build a floor for it off the bat, I've tried the soft blow up bottom boats and I don't like the flimsiness of them. I plan on building a transom for it, as I've made one for a buddy in the past so I have that avenue covered. I have an older Minnkota 27 lb thrust trolling motor I plan on using. I've seen pics of guys who've built bench seats that rid on the top of the tubes and I plan on that, those looked really slick by the way. So I leave it up to you guys, the Experts in my view, what you all think one model offers over the other, or just give me any insight into the model you own. Right now Amazon has the 280 for significantly less than the 360 and am wonder why the price difference, is the 280 discontinued?

Anyway, Thanks for any input.

Re: Question about Sevylor Fish Hunter

Thanks for the response Dobbs. I did end up with the 360, it seems to be a pretty well put-together unit. One question about the floor you built. I'm going to end up building by your pattern. My question to you is, did you end up cutting notches for the rope guides that are in the floor? It seems it would sit better if it wasn't pushing into those guides. I can't afford a boot at the moment, the material seems pretty heavy duty so I hope I'll be ok til I can get one.

I didnt cut them out the factory are not cut out so dont think it makes a diffamce. The floor would set a little flater if they were cut out and wouldnt move at all but the floor is soft anought to move down when the floor is installed.
