ok. tomorrow the boat comes out of the water.
going to pull the engine ASAP. already stripped the boat down to the floor. i mean the seats are gone and anything i could unscrew etc. tomorrow i plan on removing all the carpet and maybe starting to saw the deck. heres my questions. and i will take and post some pics tomorrow, i know thats what everybody wants.
1. should i leave a few inches like i read on this forum on each side. is this just to avoid sawing into and through the hull itself. is there any other reason? and is the idea to then carefully remove the lip with a better tool than a circular saw.
2. when and if i need to do work on the stringers. my guess is at least a little. i simply cut out the bad wood neatly if possible and the cut new wood stringers that fit in. i glue into place the new stringers? using PL? WHAT TYPE OF PL? there are a few kinds. and then i cover them with the polyester resin and csm (i ordered already) im not too sure on the steps i need to take with the stringers. i only plan on replacing what needs to be done. i dont think the bow will have any damage but we will see. any help would be great.
and i do promise to post pictures.
