I have a 1983 Venture that I have been working with for a while. The engine is ready, now I am looking at the repairing the floor. I was expecting the entire floor to be suppored with wood, but found after cuting the soft section away from the middle that holds the wiring and hose is the only rotten wood I found. This section is about 10 inches wide and about 8inches deep. The fiberglass support on each side seems to be in good shape. Advice on cutting into this fiberglass. The outside of the hull is in great condition with the only holes are where the depth finder mount were placed

Re: question about Venture

I googled "Venture boat structure" and found a good site that was posted in Iboat July 10 2012. It shows and gives good information on Venture floor rebuild. Check it out.
