I was wondering if anyone knew anything about an ignition pack. This one is for a 1972 Chrysler 105. It is tan and it says Magnapower/Ignition on it. On the back it has a model number of 6CB2012B. This is the only problem I have left but I need to figure out what it is, what it does, where I can get it, and the price if at all possible. OR if there is a way of possibly bypassing it. Thanks to all of you.

Hawk21_2001

Re: Question on ignition pack.

That would be the old style cd powerpack that Chrysler used. You can replace the powerpack with a new one. OR switch the engine over to standard ignition.

If you do a search there should be a post of someone explaining how to switch over to standard ignition.

Personally though...I would think you would be better off staying with the CD ignition.

If you require futher info...you can contact me at marinedoctor@shaw.ca

TMD

hawk21,
what you are asking about is the cd box. i have new and good used with guarantee in stock. i agree with the dr. stay with cd box standard ignition doesnt produce as hot as a spark as a cd ignition but if you want to go the poor mans route, which i have installed on occasion go to a local auto parts store ask for a coil for a 318 chrysler v8 and a matching condenser. then wire it up as if it were a car. good luck, bret forceparts@yahoo.com

Re: Question on ignition pack.

Hawk21_2001,

I just bought a replacement ignition for my 70 hp chrysler, and I just looked it up and you need the exact same one. I did fairly extensive research and found that the prices quoted to me varied dramatically. E-mail me if you would like to know where I purchased mine. It is an aftermarket made by CDI Electronics, their part number 115-3301, and it replaces your Motorola part number 6CB2012B. The price was $55+ cheaper than anywhere else. thedude7803@yahoo.com

The Dude
