What are the factors in determining how high of a wave your boat can take.

I'm looking for a CC boat but I have no idea where to start. Here are some things I'm looking for in a boat. The ability to offshore fish, cross the gulf stream fish for stripers in large lakes safely. I understand its all weather determinant but theres got to be some bases to cover. I would like to stay under 25'.

Re: Question

Where are you located at? Offshore fishing means different conditions in Florida, California, Hatteras, and the Chesapeake....

I'm in Atlanta right now but moving to FL in 6 months. Really not sure where in FL yet, probably Miami. I have heard the Atlantic and Gulf can be very different

Agree. 24-25 foot, twin engines. Center Consoles are not too bad to tow; cabins and twin Inboard-outboard rigs and you'll need to start considering your tow vehicle or keep in in a marina.

Re: Question

Ha! When you mentioned towing, my thought was about towing back to land! Only a pessimist, or experienced boater, would add that to his list of features when shopping!
