I recently bought a new 04 Yamaha F115 4stroke. I now have 125 hours and I have been experiencing stalling while idling and shifting from fwd to rev. What can be causing this? It only has happened about 5 times but it happened twice on Sat. and is starting to concern me. I was going to have a service done at 100 hrs and when I called for an appointment, they told me it wasn't necessary for one yet. Is this true? Also, when I gas up I usually add some Marvel Mystery Oil to the gas. By pure unluckyness, this weekend when I was filling up, I was opening the bottle of mystery oil and the little cardboard ring that is usually stuck up inside the cap fell out and went down my tank. I now have a full 62 gal tank filled with gass and a little carboard ring. What should I do? Will a filter catch it? Help

Yamaha recommends Ring-Free, I wouldn't feed it MMO or cardboard. Hopefully the cardboard won't plug anything up. Good luck with it.

Maybe your idle speed needs adjusting. I like mine to be at around 800 when out of gear in the water not on muffs. Check your tacho.
