Quick advice please...

I'm heading out in the morning. Leaving the house @ 6:00am & I'm prepping the boat to be ready & hooked up tonight. I was checking the transom straps & one of the webbing gave way on the hook. I don't have a spare on hand & the only thing I can think of is to use a ratchet strap to replace it. Can I/Will I be safe if I go from one side to the other in a criss-cross fashion? Left side of trailer to right side transom hook & Right side of trailer to left side transom hook. The strap is too long from the hook to the ratchet mechanizem. It's only a 17' bowrider & I really don't have to go that far. I'm just worried for some reason. I will go & buy correct straps as soon as possible, but no time in the morning. Thought's/ Comments ?? Will this set up be ok for a little ride? Thanks for any advice, MAXX

I agree, no problem. For years I never tied my boat down at all. Stupid I guess, but never had a problem.

I criss crossed them for today, but will be getting new "Transom" straps later today. I just think it's too long of a run to be effective at holding it down, good enough for one time I guess.

Criss cross is how you strap a vehicle to a trailer, It'll be fine.
