quick head gasket question

i have a 1962 evinrude lark iv and the head gasket was replaced 5 years ago.I have another head (old one loses compression from spark plug and has heli coil) the question is would I be able to re use this gasket or just get new one.

Always use new gaskets. It's cheaper than doing the job twice.

The motor has only been out a fewtimes also

Agree, get a new one. If you have to use the the old one, coat it with OMC Gasket Sealing Compond or Permatex #3. It's just a gamble it might work.
