Quicksilver 3000 control

Hello! <br />I have a Quicksilver 3000 control with a trimming switch on.<br />I have a problem with the trimming switch in up position.<br />Does anyone know how to open up the controller,<br />or who makes the Quicksilver products, if they have a website where I can find out?<br />regards <br />Affa

i have a bayliner with a quicksilver in it and sometimes mine does the same thing still have manuels on it next time i go down to my boat i will look to see if it tells you how to take apart or anumber to call will let you know sometimes this week

A Mercury dealer will have a parts web site that shows exploded views of all the quicksilver shifters. It took my parts store 3 attempts to get the right switch

affa, check with your dealer. There was a recall on some Commander 3000 controls. Mercruiser Service Bulletin 96-13. John

hi here is how you do it<br /> put the shift control back to about 1/4 to/ 1/2 the way this will enable you to pop out the pusf button for nuetral. behind that button is a bolt remove it and the handle will come off and you will have acces to wires and trim button.<br />Barry

I have a manual that I found in my boat. It is totally mildewed, but still mostly readable. Looks like I fished it out of a vault toilet, but here is what is says, word for word about removing the handle. <br /><br /> "If removal of the throttle only buton is <br /> required, It will be mecessary to place the <br /> control handle in the THROTTLE ONLY <br /> position. Push "IN" on the button and clace <br /> control handle forward. Throttle Only <br /> button can now be removed."
