Is there a comparable/acceptable alternative to Quicksilver Special Lubricant 101? I have QS 2-4-C with Teflon, and QS Engine Coupler Spline Grease. Will either of these two be a satisfactory substitute for the 101? The 101 is what the book says to use on the drive shaft retainer "nut", and that would be the only place I would use it. Don't want to spend $22 for the tube if I don't have to.

The 101 is superior for water exposure. 24C will be fine on the prop shaft for a season, and removing the prop at winterization.
