<br /><br />Sorry ... the big block Mopars (Chryslers)(and the slantsix?) have the oil filter and oil pump as one external component on the side of the engine block. There are only two ports on the pump - one, from the pickup tube the other to the oil galleys/ bearings, etc therefore, all the oil is filtered unless the bypass in the filter/pump is open.<br /><br />Chevys (and others) are apparently designed differently which means I'll have to start changing my oil more often - Even with ony 100hrs on it - the oil still looks grungy so it'll be changed @ 50 hrs. from now on. <br />I would like to see the oil galley schematic if anyone can post this.
