Miss Kitty, 11/1990-6/2012 passed quietly at the Pet Western Animal Hospital in Mineral Wells today.

She was not just my cat, she was my family's cat. Three grandsons, now parents themselves, grew up with her.

She had grown too feeble to function properly. Giving her relief was the hardest thing I have done in my life.

Congratualations on having been the owner of one HELL OF A CAT.. Living that long is outstanding. I do feel your pain however.

So sorry to here that JB, I do understand how you feel. We had one for over 21 years, she was family, still miss her. At least they do not suffer anymore.

I'm sorry for your loss J.B....I know how you feel. We had to put our family cat of 16+ years down a couple years ago and it really floored me. I cried like a frikkin' baby....not at all anticipating that the loss of a pet could be so difficult.
Hang in there...and remember, after a while....there is another kitty out there who could really use a break and a good owner.
Good luck

Sorry for your family's loss JB. Losing a good pet is almost like losing a kid (you've wanted to kill 'em yourself a million times, but now that it's finally happened it's crushing). It's surprising how much you can mourn an animal.

Sorry for the loss, however 21.5 years is a really long life for a cat.

Sorry for your loss JB. You've enriched each others lives for a good many years. I recently lost a family pet myself and can sympathize with the difficulty in making that decision. Its the most difficult and unselfish thing you can do for a loved one.

These animals become part of our family. They depend upon us, and in many ways, we upon them. When we've taken good care of them all their lives we can look back and say we did everything right. It some ways this helps. Sounds like you were both lucky to have each other...and that's the way its supposed to be. :)

Sorry about your loss JB.
We have a 17 year old female tabby. And it will certainly be hard to see her go when the time comes. Right now she is moving slower, and putting on the weight. I don't think she has much time left with us.

Never easy to do what you knew you had to. They really are family members. Treasure the memories.

Been there man. Sorry for what you're going through right now. I don't know if I'll ever get another pet because I don't want to go through that again.

Re: R.I.P. Miss Kitty.

Sorry for your loss. They become family members themselves, so it's sad that their life cycle is so short. We welcome new pet family members throughout our lives and the older we get, the more times we have had to endure the pain of letting them go.
