r nissians good in quality?

well i called the local evinrude dealer they said that there 40hp etec is 5600$$

well anyways i heard tothasu idk and nissian r cheaper motors and here nissian makes mercury's smaller motors so im gonna call the dealer and see what they say about there nissian 40hp any thing i should know

big ??? is nissian all that it claims to be

Nissans are usually more expensive than Etecs in that size...No difference in quality between the two. The Etec is a 3 star engine for emissions so its cleaner than the Nissan which is a 2 star. But the Nissan is a much more powerful engine up through the first 3rd of the power band.

r u seriuos that the nissian costs more!!! omg i wanted to know about nissian cause i thought that it was a cheaper brand cause a 40hp etec is 5600 from the closest dealer but ill have to call the dealer and see what there price is and what they have instock yet i might have to turn to a merc 4stroke...

well u were right nissian isnt much of a cheaper brand but they werent much different in the midrange catagory either way i rather go with etec if i were to choose yet i called a dealer for mercury fourstrokes(i just dont want a fourstroke cause of oil changes which ill have to do by my self ) and they were about 4500$$ for a 40hp not much different for 50hp i might look into it just wont have the zing as a 2 stroke

ill have to look into yahama they have 2 stroke models too so there is a upside plus there in the catagory i want( the hp)

Ed's sells a Yamaha 50 2 stroke for $3,600 out the door.
