I can't remember the time it rained on the 4th of July. But here it is streaming up from the Gulf all day. I have seen some trying to boat between downpours. The day isn't over but it doesn't look promising. I don't think I have missed boating on this day except for low water level one year. Better than drought and low water but I look forward to this day much more than any other holiday waaaaahhh lol

... 'nother coupla' hours of this and I'll be able to float the boat out in our cup-de-sac. We're flooding in the Nashville area.

I think we 3 are in the same boat house.

I went out in a lull and drug the grill about 6" from the back door. Rib-eyes, baked taters and beer. Let it rain.

Re: Rained out on the 4th

I got the grilling done with 5 minutes to spare before it started pouring down rain and lightening. Just enough of a window between floods to get that done. I heard the fireworks that night but just stayed in bed and watched TV. Too bumbed out to move. May get to boat this evening if it .....doesn't rain. 70% chance it will. Bermuda high moves closing to us next week and that will dry us out. Hopefully not too dry
