Do any of you younger people on the forum know that the first Vettes had inline 6 cylinders motors and a 2 speed Powerglide auto tranny?
Whats young ? Im 63 and I know that .... even from down under here.....not that I ever saw one in the flesh .

From 2017, my wife on the left and a friend on her birthday. They had had some wine and wanted to eat the cake quickly....

I worked for a guy 45 years ago or so that had a 64 1/2 mustang in the boneyard that he said was #4 off the line. Not sure what he ever did with it but I’m guessing he brought it back to life at some point as that was his passion. The shop truck was a 61 Ford completely restored and his baby was a 67 firebird that was just like new.

Sounds like a customer of mine here in TN. Several beautifully restored cars. He passed this year, kids are selling all but two, one fastback and one firebird.

Some peeps are weird over cars , there was ( still is ) a Ford Mainline ute parked on this guys lawn , never moved ....apart from rusty bits falling off . Lots of peeps asked if it was for sale but no , even got offered stupid money ( its a rare vehicle here in NZ ). now , probly 30 years on , he has karked it , its still on the lawn but its completely ruined . The only thing worth saving would be the glass items . Shame
