Check out the price of “Rockfish” (Atlantic striped bass)….$31.99 lb. at local market.Reading the local paper today and noticed the word WOW on a grocery add. It read "WOW individual salmon portion for $5.99" Looking a bit closer it's for a 6oz portion, so $16 a pound. I then thought WOW but for the opposite meaning of what they meant
Do wish we could get salt water fish at a more reasonable price. I've been getting Salmon for between 7 to 8 a pound on sale, regular price is 12. Most folks don't look at weight so they will probably buy it thinking there getting a deal.
I am heading to Alaska in August to catch salmon, halibut, and cod. I don't even want to think about the cost per pound of what we eat there and bring home ...
