I have problems finding much info on this but it seems at least 4 "contractors" have been named as co-conspiritors on one of cunninghams conspiracy charges. I hope they go down in flames as well. takes two to make a conspiracy.
I think if we sent more public officials turned crimminal to state prisons with mandatory maximum sentabces we may reign in a little bit of the crimes.
sad thing is he was reportedly making 160K a year as a congressman.
dunno where yall come from but here a 160K a year will buy ya a new pickup.

Wow, people actually PAY MONEY to listen to something that they can get for free on the radio??! Gosh you'd think an important talking head like Rush would want any ordinary citizen to be able to access his pearls of wisdom for free, in order to further the culture wars against people like me...

Oh well, I didn't really care what Rush said about this sleaze congressman anyway. I am disappointed in the hardcore conservatives here though. Not one of you all has declared (on this thread anyway) that poor Randy was a victim of the liberal media or a democratic plot or anything like that. What's the deal? Did they finally find a republican so busted that no one is willing to rush (heh heh, no pun intended..) to his defense? ;) :p

OK Woodrat, it was a left wing media/Democratic plot placed against the poor innocent Republican. :p Woodrat does bring up a good point though. A Republican gets caught breaking the law and conservatives want him in jail. A liberal breaks the law, like say lying to a grand jury and its ok, none of our business....

Criminals are criminal, doesnt matter which side they are on. They should as Rodbolt said, all when caught serve mandatory sentences in state prisons, not the hotel federal prisons to which they are usually sent for a few months.

Twidjet, I'm sure this subject has been visited long before I ever heaard of iboats.....But, if you are refering to Bill using his influence to get a hummer, as opposed to 'Duke' using his elected powers to get monetary kick-backs.....Sorry, it just a'int in the same league......IMHO....JK

Crooks are crooks. Just remember, Capatillism is good, until greed is left as the norm.

I wasnt trying to defend anyone Haut Medoc, just pointing out some diffences. Remember the congressional banking scandal? Pretty much the same response.

Crooks should be jailed, jailed with prejudice if they are a public servant.

What shocks me in this is just how blatant and transparent it appeared to be.

Repubs are just as likely to be corupt as the dems are. The repubs generally are a bit more artful in concealing that fact, however. Except in this case.

Crooks are crooks and should pay the price no matter what side of the aisle they sit on. Duke even had a Bribery Price List! Pick your bribe and I will tell you how much you owe!
