Ranger 619 fuel line question

I have a 2001 ranger 619. It has two tanks with a manual selector switch on the back of the boat. I am going to Tee my kicker off of the auxiliary tank line before this switch so it has dedicated fuel. My tank does not have another pickup that's why I am teeing. Anyway, I have looked at the switch and I cannot tell which line is the Aux and which is the main going into the switch. Anyone out there know how I could tell which line is which?

Tracking the lines back to the tanks seems like the obvious answer but I am guessing you have tried. Maybe consider filling the main and then go boating for a day and burn the gas till the tank is empty. If it is a short amount of time then you were not on the main.

I don't have time to take the boat out like that. I fish tournaments. Tracing the lines back won't work because the boat is pretty sealed up, not a lot of access.

I will get back at it this afternoon, trying to get this installed today.

Have your hull id # ready,...

They should be able to answer your question with ease,...

You don't have a main and auxiliary. You have two tanks. Either one can be considered main. You only need to determine which line feeds the engine which should be plainly visible. You can tap into either of the remaining two lines before the selector valve. If there is fuel in both tanks it doesn't matter which tank the engine is sucking from.
