vlad; she has looked at the others to. a satern vue, a suburu out back, and some kind of smaller chevy suv.
she is going from a front wheel drive car and it got a round ok but she had trouble all the time getting on and off strees and in parking lots and in snow over 6". she wants something heavier and more ground clearance but dosnt want a full size suv[i tried to get her to look at a yukon or 1/2 ton pu. .
personaly i havent followed any of these and dont know much about them. i'll pass this on to her. she knows more about the different brands and models at tn=his point than i do,

Sorry i did'nt see your reply prior to my last post. The Honda CRV model have an AWD version that is a very competent vehicle when driving in icy and slushy road conditions, but not very adequate for heavy towing nor serious offroading.

I agree the 4 runner will have better resale, but I tell ya for the lack of problems, regular maint.,much cheaper purchase price and if you want to drive it forever, my 93 Cherokee rocked! Sure perhaps the fitment isnt as great as Toys(I had two) but for the MONEY, I'd get a Cherokee again..I regularly did 80 mph for 5 yrs, ran synthetics, towed my 17" aluminum boat, didnt off road enough, and hauled *** and I'd average 17-20 with a high of 22.5 towing boat at 65-70 mph....sure the door panels dent easy, a few small oil leaks, but geez if you do routine maint., they are damn reliable and cheap overall!
