In the new house caught a rat in a trap. Man I hate cleaning up those things, especially when the rat is still alive. <br /><br />The tail freaks me out for some reason. <br /><br />What bothers you?<br /><br />Ken

My wife hate rats for the same reason. Something about their tails. Rat traps are nasty and not very effective. Bait is usually more effective. I caught one in my garage recently, or I should say my lab caught it & killed it. <br />What bothers me are %#$@ California liberals. They defeated every one of Arnies measure last night, including one that says we shouldn't spend more than we take in. <br />I'm going to have to move.

ashamed to say it, but it is...human vomit. I tend to go in the opposite direction as fast as I can.<br /><br />And people who believe everything they hear on talk radio.<br /><br />hey KIZ, our latest weapon against rodents is...a red-tailed hawk. Saw 'im sitting on my backyard fence Sunday. But he took off when I came back out with the camera.

Don't have a problem with rats, mice, snakes. Used to be freaked by spiders. . .over that.<br /><br />Political radicals, left worse than right but right, too.<br /><br />Sincere, good hearted, self appointed evangelists who insist that their truth is the only truth and harangue me to "believe" as they do.

KIZ,<br /><br />Do you also struggle with snakes? I think the Rat tail is a lot like a snake in feel etc.<br /><br />Years ago I was sitting on the couch, no shirt, watching a Dodger game on TV. Felt something kinda ticklin' my shoulder. Looked over and there was a rat sniffing me and his whiskers were what was doing the ticklin' . . . Now that freaked me out. We actually looked eye to eye and then both of us freaked. I have great luck with regular old Rat traps. Killed a bunch of them here.<br /><br />Still trying to figure out the thing that freaks me out the most . . . hmmmmmmmm

Snakes. Man I hate snakes. I'll jump like a girlie man when I see one.<br />Here at the Log Home I have to empty the mouse traps and have no trouble with mice, spiders, crickets etc. Just snakes.

swimming in leach infested water freaks me out. I can do it but it still freaks me out. Another thing that freaks me out is being in the woods (hunting) and have it get dark on you, Then ad a coyote howl on top of that and I get the willies.<br /> One more thing.....smelly dish rags...keep them things away from me.

Rats rank up their for me too.<br />Hearing them move around at night when you cant<br />see them.<br />There are no rats in Alberta so I dont have to<br />deal with them anymore.

Ive got it. What really freaks me out is a guy driving his boat with the swim ladder flopping behind it. Almost as much as the guy driving his boat with a bow line trailing along . . .<br /><br />P.S. I know a rat in Alberta . . .
