RB I saw in another post that you were able to id an engine from a serial no. This is what I have J3499311 3 cylinder johnson hydroelectric Please help if you can Thanks

Maybe we can narrow it down a little. The leads on the '70 and '71 amplifiers went to a terminal strip. The leads on preceding three cylinders amplifiers had plastic connectors. He posted before that the t-stat cover was three bolt. '72's had five so that leaves out '72.<br /><br />ddaigle, look at the amplifier on the port side see which you have.<br /><br />Maybe we can at least get a year range and hp?
