And the next time you take it out (for the season), first change the oil and filter again. Water is a byproduct of combustion, and a motor only run 5 minutes creates a lot of it. You haven't hurt anything, but always try to do a 20 minute on the LAKE or soon after a flusher-running start up. If you want to charge the battery, use a charger, not the motor. <br /> but always remember that in the cold northern territories freezing is usually more of a concern than rusting. most the air up there is so cold it does not contain enough water to rust anything. I spent a year in waukegan IL and a year in Bath ME. way way to cold.
