My experience with prop reworks is that when you pick it up for asthetic purposes it is painted with a uniform color. First time you use it the "uniform color" strips off and you have a tiger striped prop. If you want the paint to stay on the prop do it yourself. Strip the old paint off, etch the alum, apply Zinc Chromate primer and an epoxy paint, allowing a couple of weeks for the paint to set up.
