Re-upholster seats or replace?

Hi,

Enjoying my new (to me) cruiser. First boat, learning a lot, this forum has been great.

The interior seats have done their duty and need attention. Some new wood bases for the platform seats, which I can do, but they all need new vinyl. Two double back to back seats and a long rear bench. Was quoted about $2K for entire interior for new vinyl. Foam is ok.

Should I replace them instead? I see on this site you can buy an entire new double, back to back seat for $200...seems the better way to go?

Thanks,
Chris

I suppose that I have learned over lots of searching and estimates for my project - unless you are in need of a custom job, than buying new is very often more cost effective.

typicaly......a standard seat will cost 50 a cushion to re cover.

so at 200 a set......that is a VERY good deal.
