I got my 1977 Upper/Lower Unit torn down for inspection and the drive shaft gear is toast (three broken teeth) the yoke assembly gear has some pitting but nothing broken. Anyone have any suggestions?

Also, I didn't need any special tools to disassemble this, I used to work on mechanical stamping presses so have some ingenuity and wasn't afraid to tackle the job. It's just I need to find cheap used parts to fix this thing.

Explain what you mean by the "rolling Torque"? Are you referring to "backlash"?
