Re-Using transom seal

Im replacing the gimbal housing since the other one is broken. Is it possible to reuse the transom seal or is it better to get another one?? Its a Mercruiser alpha one gen 2

Ayuh,... Don't even Think about reusing ANY gasket...

Ok thanks thats what i was thinking
