100_0592.jpg This saturday if I do not have to work I am going fishingd:) I have had this jon boat for a month and have not been able to take out because of work. I did add pole holders the trolling motor so I just need to get it on the water and enjoy I hear the stripers are doing good at the locale lake. I hope the new x96 portable unit I ordered comes in before then and not on that date because my wife does not know I ordered it:%

Where you headed? Silverwood? Brrrrrrr..... We'll have to race at Havasu, as my 14' Sea Nymph is about the same size and we have the same motor. 11.9 MPH GPS . . . Have fun. No swimming!

Re: Ready to launch

It is almost swimming weather around here. We had the 12 footer out two weekends ago and were wading to launch and retrieve it. It will hopefully be out again Sunday.

QC, I did notice that the offramp to get to mead (146) I think is closed how do you get to mead with the off ramp closed. I was thinking of making a run there shortly to show the wife spend the day on the lake and a night in Vegas. Have you been to that bass pro shop off of blue diamond if you have not you have just got to go in and check it out man they have everything in there.

Re: Ready to launch

I wonder how long that's gonna be a problem . . . Anyway, you can get off the 15 at Nipton Road like you're going to Cottonwood Cove on Mohave. Follow it to Searchlight and you make a left on 95. It basically takes you straight to Boulder City, the entrance is 5 - 10 minutes from there. That's the way I come home on Sundays to avoid the Vegas traffic near stateline. Pretty hilly , but it's a cool drive if you've never done it. Watch for speed traps on 95 in NV . . .

If you feel like a big trek take the 40 out to Kingman and then head north on 93 and turn east to on the Temple Bar turn off. Most remote marina on Mead and very scenic. They have a hotel and a store and restaurant. Nothing else there . . .

I have not been to Bass Pro shops anywhere. I have this dream of outfitting a fishing rig, I have the dream not the cash . . . I keep trying to get the family to let me sell the Carrera, wife says no way, kids are lukewarm. I think I want a dual console or walkaround that I could use off shore some, but that would still be a cool rig for Striper on Mead.

Re: Ready to launch

QC, the Temple Bar sounds great but for the first time for the wife I will take her the nipton way she really likes them casinos plus we have been to cottonwood before to. The center console is a sweet set-up for offshore and mead I have run to catalina in a few of them. But for family comfort the duel works better. I cannot believe how big Vegas has got if you get a chance to check out the bass pro shop it is great. I drove up by my self I just had to get away for work and work at home for just alittle while I had to meet the concrete guy the same day too but it all worked out. I have been trying to get the wife in the ocean but she will not go I think I am taking the jon boat out to silverwood this weekend so I will take the gps and get a speed reading on my boat. If it is not at least 11.9 mph I might have to at a hydrofoil!!!! just kidding.

LOL 8)

Have you been to the Hacienda before? Cool old casino. Kinda run down, but we like it. Temple Bar is great, but there is nothing to do there at night.

I love center consoles, but need to be able to get everybody out of the weather for Catalina . . . If it wasn't for that I'd love a fast CC. There are a couple of high end flashy ones at Havasu that make me drool.
