cost of new exhaust manifold and other miscellaneouse work - $495.<br /><br />cost of finding out the damage wasn't more terminal - priceless.<br /><br />simple repair and replacement, once they found the part locally. Rob of L&J marine in portland was great to work with. I knew they were good fabricators, 'cause I've been watching new boats emerge from their shop for years. <br /><br />Heading out to exercise more sturgeon today. Good to be back in the saddle...

I'm here in the Portland area. I knew right away when I started reading your post you froze the engine. There are going to be a lot more guys in for big suprizes when they start up this spring. We had a stretch of about 72+ hours it never got above 15 degrees earlier in the month. You guys back east think that's nothing, but you know its coming and prepare for it. That was the first real freeze we've had in about 10 years. I had mine all drained and winterized. Just put it back together and did maintenance today and it fired right up and purred like a kitten. I'll be out on the big river in a couple weeks. Think spring!!
