Your in the wrong section but:<br />In my opinion with the way you are caring for it <br />the motor will outlast you.And possibly your children. In my opinion the 4 stroke will require more routine maintenance than the 2 stroke over the years.There are just too many moving parts.

I agree with Sreelspike, the motor has a better than even change at out lasting you. There are way more 50 year old outboards still in regular service than 50 year old cars. Most people do not use their outboard every day. I have known only one man that ever wore out an outboard. His 40hp Merc lasted 8 years with almost daily use, I'll estimate he used it 4-6 hrs a day. With almost no maintanance. Most outboards are killed by ignorance. Most of us just don't have enough time to wear out an outboard.
