Just like any other electric motor they have parts available for most things. But depends on what is wrong with it and if you can find the parts for the right price. If water got inside I would not think it would be worth it. But you will not know until you open it up.
I have had to have special electric motors rewound because I could not find a direct replacement, but these were not DC motors. AC or DC they are all rebuildable if you pay the right price.
Thanks 99, years ago I worked for a shop that built starters and altenatures. We had a lathe for turning the armatures down, replace bushings etc. Once I get it opened I'll know better.
