I am in the process of rebuilding this motor and there is two questions I need answered.
1. Is there any difference other than price, in using aftermarket parts (Sierra) versus OMC (Bombadier) parts? I'm leaning toward OMC. 2. Also rebuilding the carbs and I noticed that the high speed orfice (fuel jets) are 2 thousandths larger than original. The originals are 56d and the ones I removed are 58d. Are there any pros or cons with running larger jets? Thanks for all your opinions. :)

Some folks like the Sierra gaskets and some prefer the OE (BRP in your case) gaskets. Especially the head gaskets. I would stick with OE carb kits.

I wouldnt worry about the larger jets. That motor was manufactured over 20 years ago and calibrated for fuel available then. Todays fuel does burn leaner especially hi-test. Thats why its important to use the 87 octane with stock compression. I think youll be fine. Remember, Champion plugs only.

Good luck!
