I was wondering if it was very difficult to rebuild the carbs on my 1983 Mercury 90 hp outboard motor. Is there any do's or don't I should be aware of and would I have to set the jets as well ? I am going to get a shop repair manual from the Library to help. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Pretty straightforward to do. You'll need a timing light to make sure that the throttle "pickup" happens at the correct timing point.

If possible, take some pictures to help get the linkage put back correctly and the gaskets all in the correct spots. The Jets are fixed, but once everything is back together you'll have to set the idle mixture. Search for "Link and Sync" to find an excellent post on getting everything right.
