I was wondering if they make a kit that has all the seals and stuff? mine works but is leaking out of the big metal posts that the motor sits on. Also how hard is it to take apart? i have a manual around here some where and will dig into it but its not a shop manual and sometimes is sketchy on the details thanx in advance.

Re: rebuilding the TNT 200HP Johnson

Some of the most difficult work on outboards can be the TT unit... if it's corroded from salt water. Test all the bolts and the center pin on the ram. Some of the lower bolts attaching the body of the unit can really be a bear. The first one I ever worked on had to be cut off.
Rebuilding them is really not that hard. I highly recommend an OEM manual. The aftermarket manuals are not nearly detailed enough for someone that has not worked on one previously.
