Rebuilt my 1989 85 Force and just need to know where a couple wires go...

Here are the pictures.

These two black/yellow come down off the coil pack area.

This one I may have found... choke for the carbs?

I'm assuming this one goes on the near by connector, but which one and what other one connect to it, I don't know.

This one is up by the stator

As well as this one.

Well, I have an 89 85hp, but my wiring colors are not exactly the same However, here is a link to the diagram that shows all the variations of the colors, and I think yours is on it. http://www.maxrules.com/graphics/force/wiring/85_90_thru91A_CD.jpg Hope that helps

I'm assuming most of the wires go to the bracket near the carbs. I'm still utterly confused about the wiring in question. Anyone know where the stator wires go? The other two? The one hanging out by itself?????? Any help is GREAT. That's all I'm waiting on.

Did you click on the link in my first post? It shows exactly what colors go where. The terminal strip you want is the horizontal one.

OK. It appears the two black and yellow wires go to the stop switch, where is that? Also the two bottom wires don't look like they'd go on the horizontal strip at all. There are ones similar that go near the bracket next to the carbs.

Thanks for the pictures. My set up is a little different. Mine is an L-drive. I found out the two off the stator go to the rectifier, but I don't know which spot they go. It's difficult to tell in your picture.

It looks like my two wires from the stator go on the middle studs on the rectifier. Then that's all taken care of. I have two wires to the ignition kill I need to find a home for.
