I'm a bit puzzled here. Parts list shows and says they are 'Tube, crankcase drain'.
Both 'tubes' , one to upper main bearing and the other to lower main bearing are in carb side of powerhead. Are these 'tubes' supposed to be hollow , hence the name 'tube'?? Or are they solid plastic/nylon??

Hi ya' X.....

Yea, there supposed to be hollow. That's how the upper and lower bearings get their lube.

Hey OBJ,
Well, mine are solid rods, one is light grey , the other a darker brown. They did slip into the casting very easily, both upper and lower. At the time I assembled the powerhead, I thought they were solid because capillary action would help the flow of oil thru the passageways. I figured that being a loose fit, the oil would be sucked up to the top main bearing , but not have too large an opening so as to diminish the crankcase pressure of the bottom cylinder. The main intake manifold is cast with passageways to contain the oil and has the check valve. Is my thinking way off base here?? If these 2 'rods' are supposed to be tubes, I have no problem opening the powerhead again to check the top bearing for lubrication.
